BAHOK

Yesterday, at my local theatre, I watched Bahok. I have to say, of all the things I have seen in theatre, this is by far the best. It is a must see! If you live in London, and know where "Sadler's Well" is, it is well worth ringing them to check if it is on. 


A group of people are stuck in an airport. They come from different backgrounds including Korean, Slovakian, Indian, Spanish, South African and Chinese. 
Bahok is the bengali word for carrier. This play explores the way the body carries identity through dance. It also explores what "home" is for each character.


It was seriously amazing. Here are some videos - please take the time to watch them! The effect isn't as good on a video ... if you know it is near you soon, and you can watch it, do it!










I was left quite speechless.

Stress... Revision... Money... Clothes... Stress!

Okay so I finally have one less stress.... the play I was in is now over. Some of the cast were crying and all the rest... I'm not sure why to be honest, it really wasn't that sad! When you think about the terrible things people are going through all over the world, it really puts things into perspective!

Now, I have other stresses.

1. My exams start in about 6 weeks. And I have done ZERO revision. Also I have a french oral exam on the 29th or 30th of April.

2. I have to write a play!

3. I need to buy some summer clothes. Okay, WANT.

4. I want a job!

Hmmm.... I think I had better start with the first one.

But anyway, I recently went into my local ARK store. I've never bothered to go in because I thought it was one of those shops that everyone just goes to because its "cool", but I actually think they have such pretty clothes! All very delicate and girly from what I saw. I really liked it, and they seemed to be a similar to some tops at topshop for a fraction of the price. (they also sell like millions of superdry coats but anyway, moving on!)

And it will burn £38 of your money... ridiculous if you ask me!

I'm also watching a vintage pussy bow blouse on ebay today... and want it badly...! I really really like the one topshop are selling at the moment but it is just too expensive!
I really like the blousy summery look with some light jeans or leggings. I love baggy but flowy and girly clothes. I don't think you have to wear tight fitted clothes for something to look truly girly!




Waistcoats also seem to be creeping back in fashion.... however they are now labelled "sleeveless blazers". They're waistcoats.

I really like some of the things in the new H! by Henry Holland line at Debenhams! And I think the Pixie Geldof photos are great too. I really like the second to last look most... what do you think? The collection is quite affordable too (surprisingly) with things starting from £4.

It really is nicer in the shop. The fabric is so soft and silky!


This collection really does cater for everybody. It goes from retro to girly to punky.
