Leavers Day 2010 Dresses : Part 1, the designers I can't have.

Firstly, thank you again to the new followers! I really do appreciate it :).

So, I'm leaving school (and then going back for sixth form!) officially on the 2nd of July. I'm having a real dilemma here, as most girls my age probably are. I'm trying to juggle revision among the many other things I've got to do, and on top of that, I need a dress! But where to look? And what is my budget(or rather my parents budget :/) ? Should I get a job? The questions just dont end! I keep finding some absolutely amazing dresses. And then remember that they are designer and that there is NO WAY I will be buying them. But just for fun, I'll post them anyway! (The theme on the day we leave is "The Oscars" by the way, original, I know) Oh and I also need a dress for the night time party! I mean... I can't wear the same dress.. can i?!

WARNING : There's gonna be ALOT of pictures.

So I'm starting with the designer dresses I can't have, just to express myself. (Via theoutnet.com)

Marchesa:

WOW?! This is actually my dream dress. And its a whole £1,734.25.
I just think the colour is gorgeous. It's perfect :'(

Next, another Marchesa:

Elegant, classy. And £1,664.25. Is it just me that thinks the extra 25p is not necessary?

Temperley London:

I <3 the neck on this one. Very different to all the other ones I've seen, thats what I like.
£807.50

Halston

Starting to feel like a disney princess right now... (i'm starting to run out of colours now :/)
£1,038

OSCAR DE LA RENTA

Its VELVET. Why oh why can't I have £933.60 to spend on this (typing that sounds pretty good for ODLR actually!)

Right, they're getting cheaper now. I've done this on purpose.

I've been debating with myself... could I get away with a long sleeve dress? I could, but I would like for one day just to wear a beautiful dress like everyone else. But this on is STILL beautiful:

OSSIE CLARK (Remember the vintage Ossie Clark Emma Watson wore at the HP premiere? Keep going down )

(Emma watson wearing vintage ossie clark)

Moving on, Juicy Couture. I like it in a weird way... I dont know?

AND it's only £132.50!

Thats the first part of the designer dresses, however I do have some more to post from my-wardrobe.com

The Street Where Originality Lives

I'm in love with the new Adidas advert. I'm not a big "oh i wear adidas and nike" person, but I have to say this advert is pretty much amazing. Best one of 2010 I would say, and 2010 isnt even over yet!
Check it out:

And I love that it's in London.

So I'm feeling a bit sporty... I so so want these Hi-tops from Topshop.

£25 is pretty reasonable I think (for TS anyway!)

I just love hi-tops at the moment...They just give such an urban feel and remind me of America for some reason.

The new Adidas originals are so cool tooo

Here's some pics from the shoot:

Hope they inspired you.

Mission Post 1 : H&M

As I was saying in my last post, I want to shop on a reasonable budget. Btw, please don't misunderstand, I would like to buy NEW clothes however I don't think you need to spend a massive amount of money to get quality clothes. And H&M usually does that for me.

I'm loving some of H&M's new stuff. And I am literally, amazed.

H&M. I love you!
A denim jacket for £9.99! Could you find this in any other high street store? Well, I will show you.

Here is H&M's

Before you say it, I know it's cropped. However this is still an amazingly good price for a high street store!

And now, to Topshop.
Slightly different colour, nevertheless, also cropped.
Price?

40 hard earned pounds.

Ouch.

A dress. Looks like nice fabric. Seems to hang nicely. It has some gorgeous button up detailing.

Price? Will you believe me? I think H&M is getting better and better.

£7.99

I just can't believe my eyes. 7.99?

Bag, £1.99, Top, £14.99

Get down to H&M :) I will be! I like topshop, don't get me wrong, it just really hurts my pocket!

Blouse, £9.99
Shorts, £19.99 (see below for ones that are £5.99!)
Shoes, £9.99
Bag, £9.99
Shorts, £5.99!
I hope you enjoyed seeing these clothes as much as I did!

On a mission... (+ thank you)

First, just want to say thank you to the new followers :) made my week :)
Please please please take the time to read this.

I walk home, most days from school. The other day, I noticed this boy, a few years younger than me. He always moves out of the way so I can walk past, but I'm quite patient, so sometimes I walk past, sometimes I dont. He's just polite. I couldnt help but notice his shoes. They were too big for him, broken, probably doing some damage to his feet. It made me think. (Of course, I already know this) but this time, it has really stuck in my head. Some people really don't have enough to worry about fashion. I thought poverty wasn't a big problem where I live, but it seems, it is a bit. Okay, i'm exaggerating! He had a coat, gloves, everything he would need but I just feel bad. When thinking about clothes and material things, it is so so important to remember, that it isn't everything. I love fashion, but I think we should all have an awareness that there are many other issues to be dealt with in the world.

Anyway, my mission is, cheap outfits. Not cheap as in bad quality or tarty clothes, but low budget shopping (which is really what I do anyway). I'm going to hunt the internet for alternatives. Alternatives to designer clothes, (and Topshop as it is just too pricey for some things!)

Maybe when I get a job my views will change... but as of now, this is my mission!

P.S. I have to start another blog to log my "journey" in a writing competition I have got into .

Clogs : Yes or No?

I saw vogue, and when I saw Alexa, I had to buy it. Have to admit, I havent read it properly yet, but will be soon (busy busy busy!)
So anyway, Alexa was wearing the Chanel Clogs:

These, from Topshop, seem quite wearable.

So, are the clogs a yes or a no for you?
I don't think I would wear full on clogs, but I like the Chanel ones (Alexa wears them well as usual) and I would probably wear a more toned down version. Some new ones look like platform heels to me! (i.e. the Topshop ones)
