Before it all gets complicated...

I can't remember if I've posted a bloc party video, but if I havent, and anyone that reads this hasnt heard of them, you really need to check them out. I'm listening to Plans alot at the moment. It was one of those songs that was just on my ipod for the sake of it before, but then i actually decided to listen to it! I'm gonna try and upload the original version to youtube, but for now I can only find the acoustic. Enjoy!!

These shoes, they are not new, but I wanted to do a post on them. They are a faux suede material and cross over at the front. I think they're lovely and elegant! What do you think?
I think for future, they are a good investment as they seem quite timeless.

I  wore them to a party... and couldnt feel my feet after.. hmmm! Oh well, I think it was worth it. (picture on the left was taken when the big light in my room had broken and I had to resort to using a tiny red lamp, which I thought would look nice in the picture. However, blogger seems to have turned them into bad quality! :(

Another busy weekend for me!
I would really appreciate any feedback on how to make my blog better. The obvious one is probably outfits, but I can do that soon when I get a camera of my own ;) The camera used in other posts is sort of a shared one even though I refered to it as "my"

My Favourite Outfit

Hi Caroline, firstly I'd just like to say that I've only recently discovered your blog, but I really like how you translate everything, it makes it much more accessible unlike some other blogs where I really like the style but can't understand it!
Firstly, I'm a big scarf fan, and I think the little touch of a scarf adds some really classiness to this outfit. I also love the crinklyness (i know it probably isnt a word!) of it, it makes the outfit look more... worn in/casual/personal. I have also wanted a biker jacket for a very long time, but this Topshop one is certainly out of my price range normally! Also, the converses look totally cool and I think I would feel comfortable yet stylish and classy in this outfit.
I think I should win it because I would really love to make a good go of my blog, and this seems like a good starting point for me. I see so many clothes I really like, but can't necessarily afford everything as everything seems so expensive at the moment!
Just to finish, I HEART the t-shirt. I know thats odd, out of all of the things in the outfit, but for a long time i have wanted a drapey/loose t-shirt , with a pocket!

Thank you!

I'll bring you flowers, in the pouring rain

This is my kind of failed attempt at making a corsage... Please tell me it looks like a rose :( It's the blue one by the way, I thought it would look cool in leaves... and I think it sort of.. didnt.

Well anyway, I followed a tutorial from this blog (This post to be exact), and uh.. for my first attempt I suppose I can't be too upset... opinions?

These were taken with a blackberry by the way so a little bad quality!

Moving on, I think I'm doing pretty well with this posting... I believe I've done like 3 days in a row?

Clothes post coming up xoxo

P.s. Just to link to the title, a remix of a Shola Ama song :

You may or may not like it, its an old garage tune which was more famous in the UK.

By the way, if you live in the U.S, you will very soon be getting possibly the best chocolate in the world. (Cadburys, appreciate it, :P)

When in doubt, wear (RED) (Part 1)

-Bill Blass

This was from one of the postcards I love picking up when I go to the cinema. Although I'd heard the quote before, I never really knew who said it... The postcard is part of the (red) campaign (helping fight AIDS in Africa). Recently, they launched the Flowe(RED) website, which I have to say has the most beautiful bouquets I've ever seen. They come with the vases in the picture and can be delivered the next day. Here are my favourites: Sizzling Sunbeams - £30.00

Red (RED) Roses - £25.00
Moby Rose - £35.00Rose Globe - £50.00

Vivid Vanda - £45.00

Yes, some of them are a bit pricey but:

1. They are so beautiful to look at
2. The money goes to a good cause
3. You get amazing quality flowers with free delivery (However this service is only available for the UK)

So I'm keeping my eye on them for mothers day which is coming up...

Check out the Flowe(RED) website here and the Join(RED) website here (where it shows the whole range of products you can buy)... (Including some cool Nike red laces!)

People lose their way, for one reason
or another.
It's not hard to do,
in this world of crazy mazes.

Found this from the post "Boys life" on Noelle + Kendall's (Fansea Pants) blog, and I thought it was a really cool quote :) So thanks to you guys for posting!

I was actually going to post this before, but I think it fits the mood right now.

Rest in Peace Lee Alexander McQueen.

I only actually found out what Alexander McQueen looked liked last year. In my city, there is a sort of art gallery that also has a section where you can choose from thousands of films to watch. I searched fashion, and one of the first ones to appear was a video of Alexander McQueen and his work so far (this video was slightly dated though). It was filmed while his friend Isabella Blow was still alive, (who i found out shortly after had actually died, to my shock!). Mostly, it concentrated on one of his collections (which I can't seem to find anywhere!), where he used real animal bone/skin throughout the show.
From what I saw, he seemed to be a very down to earth, grounded man, and I think the world has lost someone very special.
