This was from one of the postcards I love picking up when I go to the cinema. Although I'd heard the quote before, I never really knew who said it... The postcard is part of the (red) campaign (helping fight AIDS in Africa). Recently, they launched the Flowe(RED) website, which I have to say has the most beautiful bouquets I've ever seen. I would recommend finding out where the flowers come from... There are more flights around the world every day for the flower industry (mostly in South America)than there are for passengers. Plane flights are like the worst thing you can do to the environment other than burning down a forest... so... if burning fossil fuels contributes to climate change then dryer places get dryer and wetter places get wetter eg. Africa will get drier and it will be even harder for them to grow crops with such scarce water. I really really would like to better the lives of my fellow human beings but I think that our generation needs to start looking at things more logically and long term than handing money over to an industry. :) Just some food for thought, I hope it helps!
