Hello everyone, how are you? The weather here up north is looking a bit grim, but it was lovely last weekend when I visited my sister in London. Didn't get to go to Somerset House but you could certainly tell LFW was on while travelling on the tube.
This post is just a little update of things I've been up to recently and things which will be happening in the near future. So the news really is that I'm going to start uni in just over a week. I'm excited, nervous, apprehensive, scared, but most of all I just want to get stuck into the course now. So being a uni student entails being able to cook... which I rarely do and don't particularly enjoy either. Despite my last post being a baking post, the truth is, I find baking and cooking somewhat frustrating, and I could never have a career in anything food related as I think my stress levels would just go through the roof!
However, this Jamie Oliver 30 Minute Meals Pizza is absolutely fool proof and turns out really tasty. I made it all by my self, dough and all, so I was pretty chuffed!
As you can see, I did one with salami and one with vegetables which I'd cooked before putting on the pizza. Here's the video, seriously, try it yourself (embedding has been disabled so here is the link)
Of course going to uni means I'm "needing" to buy new clothes - but the reality of student life and money is really beginning to hit me! Bought some lovely stuff from Forever 21 at Stratford though, including this shirt dress which I thought would be nice for winter - it's quite thick!
We also went to watch a free screening of the film, Untouchable, or "Les Intouchables" in France - a French film which was released last year but is only just being released here in the UK very soon. I've been wanting to watch it for a while, and trust me, it was worth every second. I would have paid good money to watch it either way! What made it even more amazing was that it was based on a true story. I would never have thought a story like this could actually have happened! Check out the trailer.
And finally I've been listening to Kendrick Lamar a lot lately. You should check him out if you haven't already! Also waiting to listen to Kanye West/G.O.O.D. Music's new album, from what I've heard, it's pretty decent!
Speak to you soon guys (although it's no use me promising, let's face it!) x

well you will get move into cooking because you're sort of forced to do it. it will be good, unless you fancy living on pasta and sarnies for 3/4 years. pizza looks good, i have that 30 min book. though i must say everything i have made has been more that 30 mins of making
